Ina-Garten

Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina Garten began her professional career at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget documents. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual rigors of her job, but soon stopped her the interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. She spent eighteen years making the shop extremely popular before letting it go and picking up the pen to begin writing her first book. The other cookbooks came out, as did magazine columns. Another hit came from her Food Network Television show. The company sells numerous products, from ingredients for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself that hasn't gone to a cooking academy and has never been in the kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual approach to cooking and entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include easy recipes like Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese using Beef Bourguignon as well as the Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
