Hayley Orantia is American actor, musician and singer. Her most well-known characters is Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' the comedy television show. However, she's primarily musician. Music is the first passion that she insists on; it's something she has dabbled into when she was just nine years old. At the age 12, she had taken the music seriously enough that she began training professionally. In the age of 13, she began creating songs. Her debut album when she was 14. Since then she's not been back. Orrantia is a native of the USA however she has Hispanic roots. While she grew up with solely English and was never in Mexico she is very satisfied with her Hispanic roots. To keep her heritage alive she's enrolled in Spanish. Additionally, she creates songs using the language. One of her attempts was a Spanish song called 'Hasta Verte.' Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions during the summer 2011. Orrantia was chosen as a result of a YouTube video that she submitted and got the judges' four "yes" no votes by the judges during the live audition phase held in Seattle, Washington. Her initial audition was in the show "Hollywood Week" in a one-on-one capacity. However, three other women singers and she were put together to audition for the remaining tracks. The live performances were held during the week of 5th.
